Medical Scientific Liaison (MSL), Denmark

For our client, Almirall, we are seeking a Medical Scientific Liaison (MSL).

Almirall is a pharmaceutical company committed to providing valuable medicines to patients worldwide. They research, develop, manufacture and market proprietary medicines as well as licensed products, in areas with unmet medical needs. Today, their products are available in over 70 countries on five continents, through our 13 affiliates and a strategic partnership network.

The key strategic therapy areas (TA’s) are Dermatology and Neurology, with main focus on Dermatology. The MSL is a trusted scientific partner that provides medical expertise and customer value to ensure proper development of new products and the optimal positioning of existing products. The MSL develops and delivers a clear and balanced communication based on scientific and clinical data in order to build valued partnership with Almirall’s customers.

In addition, the MSL will ensure medical activities related to the promotion of Almirall’s products, combined with a hands on mentality to achieve the ambitious goals.


Responsibilities and Tasks

  • Define and deliver a non-promotional national field-based medical plan
  • Support development of the medical strategy in collaboration with HQ medical colleagues and in line with Brand team
  • Support the development and delivery of local and corporate medical activities including late stage trials, independent investigator research and other relevant projects in partnership with HQ based colleagues
  • Create and deliver non-promotional communication platforms to deliver accurate and balanced scientific and medical information to key opinion leaders/ institutions
  • Demonstrate partnership working with external scientific, research and clinical stakeholders
  • Engage with KOLs in relation to Advisory Board activities
  • Support Brand Team with collaborative working
  • Demonstrate cross functional collaborative proactive approach which is solution oriented
  • Maintain in depth Dermatology knowledge including patient perspective
  • Proactively share insights to support company goals for both short and long term
  • Lead and embed a culture, way of working and processes that support a fully compliant operational environment
  • Liaise with other company functions to ensure achievement of medical objectives
  • Actively collaborate with the global and local medical and marketing teams, learn and share best practices
  • Continuously evaluate relevant developments and changes in the market and identify new opportunities



  • Master degree in life science from university or other similar institution
  • Minimum of 3 – 5 yrs. working experience as Medical Affairs Manager/Medical Scientific Liaison Manager
  • Understand science and clinical data and manage to interpret to business strategies, objectives and communication with health care professionals
  • Proven relationship building skills with key opinion leaders
  • Ability to work across several teams
  • Experience and responsibility with budget management
  • A creative and innovative approach of business challenges, out of the box thinking
  • Knowledge of the Danish Health Care Compliance-rules
  • Fluent in Danish, writing and speaking
  • Professional level in English, both in oral and in written communications



  • Knowledge about or experience with biologicals for psoriasis or other TAs
  • Strong analytical and implementing skills
